Public school...
Private schools are too much expansive and moreover there isn't a great difference from the point of view of the teaching...

I highly doubt that, you wouldn't get 100% the education you get at school and your social life would be dramatically cut short..

I'm not insulting you, i'm voicing my opinion.
Homeschool isn't as enriching in terms of the curriculum or the social side, plus it means routine won't be learnt or practised as often, which will be a very big drawback in the world of work, college or university.

ok...
I know you are stating an opinion but please make it more clear instead of making it sound as if you're stating fact. Unless you have been homeschooled you cannot state as fact that it is not as enriching, etc. I am a member of a homeschool support group and we have a yearbook, field trips, science fairs, talent shows, bands, theater groups, etc. I am in a homeschool gymnastics group that meets at the Olympic training facility that trained many gold medal gymnasts and is owned by Mary Ellen Tracy the Olympic coach. All the kids in the class are homeschooled.
We use curriculum that is used in schools in my area and am using the same books the my friend uses in her school. I am allowed to study anything I want to any length I want , if something interests me more then something else we can do extra study and even go on field trips whenever we want to study that subject. I have tested above my grade level every year (using the same tests that public schools use) and am in a grade level above my age. Studies show that homeschooling kids actually do better in college because they have learned better study habits from one on one teaching instead of being put in a class with 30 other kids and the teacher spending most of her time dealing with discipline.
As far as routine, you can be as structured and routine as you want. This year we haven't been as structured because my grandma had cancer and died so my mom had to take care of her. But many of my homeschool friends have very strict routines that they follow every day. The good thing about it is if we need to do something else or want to do something else we can be flexible. Also, if I get things in my textbooks quicker than what the lesson plans say, we can move on to something else. If I were in public school I'd have to learn at everyone else's pace. So don't talk about something you don't know about.
Homeschooling in America is probably very different. We have a lot of opportunities in the city where I live.

Opinions, opinions.
Don't you realize that it's all opinions?
Some think public's better, some think private's better, some think home-schooling's better. It's all on your point of view, and it's all your opinion.

I totally disagree and i'd like to see proof of your studies, but you do have to take into account the reliability of the studies and other factors such as sample size and who was included.
Your opinion is homeschooling is a good thing, my opinion is that homeschooling isn't :)

I whent to an alternative christian school In the outskirts of melbourne for most of high school. I started of at one of the worst schools in Victoria Australia a public school that has had a bad rep for over 35 years. It got so bad there I had to leave. The private school I whent to was Awsome, We didn't have uniforms there was no such thing as bullying, more then half the year yrs 7.8 and 9 spent in the same class room learning together which helped cut down most of our classes so media studies and sose where done in 1 yr instead of all 3 :D and best of all they help my mother out by taking me on without charge. I'd hate to think where I would be now if it wasnt for them.

I go to a private all girls school, we do have a brother school accross the Thames though, they are practically the top girl and boy school in the country.
Before I went to a catholic, all girls private school. I was ready to die from the whole 'Find the Image of God in everyone'.
Why do so many people hate private schools?
It opens up so many oppurtunities that some public schools don't have, some public schools are great but my local public school does nothing but mug the private school next to it and mug other students on the bus.
I have friends who go to public schools and have nothing against them, I just want to know why so many people think they get a better edutcation at puclic schools and why they hate private schools.
Not all of us are stuck up rich snobs and sloaners, though I must admit there are loads of sloans at my school and a few seriously rich girls but even the multimillionaire rich girls aren't stuck up snobs. The reason I love my school over the public school which I got into was that we have much better facilities and more to offer to support my education (also theres no uniform), the public school was also mainly asian, we are much better cultured and our school is really diverse.

Since the start of the year my school has changed from a CTC (City Technology College) to an Academy. Sucks arse because now it's 100x more strict than before, which seemed impossible till this year.
