Genre is a good book-grabber, or what kind of characters you like reading about.... how long of books, etc.

Since I have no idea how old you are, I'll give you a few suggestions...

Are you between 8-10: read Artemis Fowl written by Eoin Colfer. It's a fast paced book, with fairies and machine guns, and a treasure and a 12 year old boy.

Are you between 10-12: read Stravaganza written by Mary Hoffman. It's a book that starts out sad, with a young boy who is very ill, but he wakes up in a magical world where things are very different. It has a slight hint of a romance in the air.

Are you between 12-14: Read Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. A young girl, whose mother has died, gets mixed up in a world where fictional characters travel to the real world. And back.

Are you over 15: read My life as a B... Oh, i can't write that word here. Female dog! This is in fact the story of a 17 year old girl who turns into... a dog. Imagine that. How would you feel if you suddenly became a dog, with no home and lonely? Well, this girl doesnt feel much better... Definitely 15+ though. Not a happy little story. Funny, yes.

The Nancy Drew series are really good books. They're mystery books and I love them.
There's also the Twilight series.. dunno if you read that yet but they're awesome books!
