View Full Version : Attention everyone!
It has just come to my attention that there's a new script going around that attacks users who (foolishly) use their username as their password.
This simple act leaves the forum open to spam attacks as those accounts are easy to breach.
So if you're using the same password as your username, I must urge you to change your password to something more secure (mix of letters and numbers).
To edit your password please visit this page:

Whatz this about???
Well if you read the first post you'd know :) It's pretty useless posting posts with 'what is this thread about?' One might consider it spam. Spam is bad.
My username is not the same as my password. Thinking a good password is easy enough. One that you can remember...
Think of your favourite song title or chorus from a song. For instance 'aint no sunshine when she's gone'. Take the first letter of each word: answsg. Add the birth year of your aunt or uncle, for instance 1960 and you have a very secure password.
Answg60 is a strong password because it has a Capital A, no recognisable word and a number in it.

Yes, spam is very naughty. But who'd actually do that? It's a bit thick no offence!

For a normal pixelbee account, just stick with whatever secure password you think is okay. The worst that can happen if someone hacks your account is that your beebux get spend, your account gets used to spam the forum (and probably get your account banned because of it) and to cause the admin and moderators some annoyance.
Do get a secure password for your account. If not for yourself, than at least for the moderators who will have to clean up the mess if your account gets hacked ;)

Its mean to hack peoples accounts. I like know half or more of the passwords to my cousins accounts in websites we go to. (she doesn't have one here though. I push her to, but she hasn't made an account yet.) Oh and I hate to be mean to the people who do this but isn't a tad bit dumb to have the same username and password?

This issue has been fixed with the last forums update.
You no longer can use the same password and username.
