Well, it depends on what needs to be approved, if the moderator is online and how urgent it is.

The reason some threads need to be approved is because they need to be looked at, to see if they are done according to the rules. So if you post a thread that needs approving, make sure it sticks to the rule: your thread will be approved quicker.
