my notifications say that i have 3 unread messages but ive looked over and over at my messages but i havent missed any, im confused...

Maybe try logging out then logging in again?

ehm, the notification does not just mean private messages. It includedes:

So it will say I have one message when I log in, but that is actually an open friend request. I suggest you click on the link to see what you have been missing.

This happened to Star_Spark before.
It will keep going to 2 weeks.
Just keep on waiting, and eventually, it WILL disappear.

Then click on the link and it will show you new profile messages on your profile, right? Or did you mean that didnt happen, when you click on the link?

Daenerys, in the drop down menu it says i have 3 unread profile messages. but there are no unread profile messages

If it doesn't pop away, after at least a week, notify a Moderator or PXLB.

Sometimes it comes for 3 weeks.
JUST KEEP WAITING! Anyway, if it says 4 visitor messages, it means you've got one message.
It sometimes can depend on your computer. Too much stuff and it happens.
