Noel's mom drove to the school worried if Noel would tangle
the teacher in vines.
"Noel promise mommy you won't use your magic on the teacher unless she asks you."
"Ok, mommy." Noel said.

Mattie held his mom's hand as she walked him into the classroom. "Try not to drop your sandwich." she said, kissing his forehead.

Cab sat in the back seat bouncying in the car smiling

"Honey promise me you won't hit anyone?" she asked looking at him

"I swear momma!!!" he yellled happily

Amanda walked with her mother to her new school."momma..i'm scared..."whispered Amanda."it will be alright,i didn't fit in either when i was your age...but please don't use your powers wildly now..ok?"said Michelle,Amanda's Mother."ok mommie..."sighed Amanda hugging her rag doll.

Cab hopped out of the car as his walked out of it

"Come on momma come on!!!!!" he yelled pulling her along

"I'm coming I'm coming!!!" she laughed as they walked into the school

Mattie looked at the kids in the school when he walked in. He was scare and clung to his Mom's leg. "Who do we have here?" the teacher asked. "This is Mattie." his mom said.

Amanda and her mother went inside the school. Amanda looked terrified and went close to her mother."Amanda,it'll be ok."said Amanda's mother.Amanda nodded.

Cab looked over and saw a boy clinging to his mom's leg and he said

"Can I have my hammer now?"

"Yes you may..." his mom said handing him the hammer that was to big for him

Pretty soon, Mattie went and started to play with some blocks.

"Bye-Bye momma!!" he yelled and ran into the school

Amanda kept on looking around."ok,Amanda i'll talk to the teacher while you go play,ok?"asked Amanda's mother."o...ok mama."whispered Amanda as she went to sit on the rug.she played around with her rag doll. She looked at her mother,she was done talking and then she left. Amanda felt sad and hugged her rag doll.

Cab ran into the classroom and looked around "Wow it's even cooler than I thought!!" he yelled

"And Noel, honey if find a kid is mean make sure you don't get in a fight." Her mom said.
"Pinky swear mommy!" Noel said grabbing her teddy bear
"Good. Here's the school" Her mom said parking and turning off the engine.
"Mom, take care of pompom please!" She said.
"Pwease come in with me!!" Noel said hugging her mom.
"Of course I will! ("Don't want you to turn a plant into a mutant plant!")"
They got out of the car hold hands and walked toward the school..

"Come on, Leslie." Leslie's mother smiled. "Stop being so glum and enjoy your new school! You can make lots and lots of friends here!"

"I know you will!" Leslie's mother replied cheerfully, taking Leslie into the preschool.

Amanda walked around with her rag doll looking at the pictures and the small books. Amanda sat down again and started to throw her doll up to the air.

Layne sat in the car with her mom.
"Mommiieee! I'm scared..." she said as she clung on to her ratty old blankie.
"you'll be fine." her mom said walking her into the classroom. Kids were everywhere playing with blocks and toys. She hid behind her mom and clung on to her blankie tighter.
"Go on Layne!" she urged as she sarted to chat with the teacher.
"Mommieee!" she said pulling on her pant leg.
"Layne go play and don't use magic unless you are suppost to okay?" she said.
"Okay.." Layne said looking down.
Her mom bent down, "Love you," she said giving her a kiss and left the room.

Cab blinked and yelled at the top of his lungs "HELLOOOOOOO?!"

Leslie walked into the classroom and sat down in a corner, clearly afraid of what's to come.

Amanda and her rag doll came by the picture books. "Ooooo...books."said Amanda going to the book shelf. She picked out those little books from the bottom shelf. She picked out the one named "Halloween". Amanda sat down and began to read.

Mattie had made the "Eifell Tower" by puttong a tiny block at the top of many big ones.

And.. Fininshed." he smiled as he put the last peice of the puzzle together

Amanda was done reading the book and puts it back on the shelf. She got her rag Sally and walked around dragging Sally with her."now what.."said Amanda as she sat down on a small comfy chair.

Cab saw a girl sitting a the small couch and ran over and yelled "Hi!!"

"Hi..."said Amanda waving her hand to Cab. She got Sally from the floor and picked it up to her lap.

"I'm Cab What's your name?" he asked still smiling

"I'm Amanda.."answered Amanda giving a nice smile.

Cab smiled and sat down on the floor beside her smiling "What's your power?" he asked looking at her

"My power is water..."said Amanda as her bangs got down and covered her whole right eye.

Cab smmiled and said "My hammer..." and looked around "I think I lost it again... Oh there it is!!" he said running over grabbing it and dragging it back over

"Wow, Thats a nice hammer you got."said Amanda lifting up her bangs to see.

"Yeah it can get bigger!!!" he smiled looking at the hammer than whispered "Grow." and it got bigger

"Wow......" said Amanda still amazed of the seeing the hammer grow even bigger.

He smiled again and said "I can make it as big as I want it has no limit to it's growth."

"you're so lucky to have that power...i only have drooping depressed water powers."said Amanda as she let go of her bangs that drooped and covered her right eye again.

Cab giggled and said "All I can do is hit things. It would be sooo awesome to control watrer."

"well......water can make all sorts of mess like making you wet." Said Amanda throwing her doll up in the air.

Mattie looked at a little girl and boy talking. He walked over to them. "Hi." he said.

Noel sat on a couch where she could see layne crying.
She thought about going over there but was way to shy to.
She dropped her teddy bear next to her.
"Alright everybody! My name's
Miss Starcove, I'll be your teacher for the year," Said Miss Starcove patting Noel on the back.
"please gather in the front of the classroom."
Noel got off the couch with her bear and headed to the front.

Leslie shrugged, then did as the teacher said and gathered in the front of the classroom with everyone else. People were talking with each other, and that irritated her. She prefered the quiet surroundings that her house provided for her.

Mattie walked to the front of the classroom, standing tall.

Amanda looked at Miss Starcove. She was too nervous to introduce herself to the class, so she didn't talk. She then looked at Mattie in front of the classroom. "What a brave soul."whispered Amanda still hugging Sally.

Cab stoo up and yelled "Go you!!!!"

Miss Starcove gave out a sweet smile.
"Now that we're settled I would like for everyone to speak there name
and power when I point to them." She said and walked over to Mattie.
"Okay you look ready, what's your name and power, sweetie?" She said eagerly

"My name is Mattie and my power is darkness." Mattie said, smiling.

Layne sat there hoping the teacher wouldn't see her.

"Um, are you talking to me?" She turned around and faced Layne.

"Sure, I guess." Leslie nodded, standing up.

Amanda sighed and kept on looking around. "ice cream...."whispered Amanda. She looked up to the window and thought that falling scoops of ice cream would come down. "hungry....."whispered Amanda as she fell down and fell a bit tired.

Layne picked up her doll and walked over to the techer and pulled on her skirt. "Can I go potty?" she asked still tugging on her skirt

Layne went into the small room. She loked around and snapped her fingers. Her hand engulfed in flames. She smiled and blew the fire out. When are we ever gonna start actually LEARNING something? Layne said to herself as she came back into the classroom.

Amanda opened her eyes and saw the snake. She smiled as she petted the water snake.

Noel put down her doll and walked over to a plant by the window.
She put her hand on the soil and a vine sprouted curling to form a heart.
She slowly touched the vines with her index finger.

Layne kept reading her book. She thought of her older sister. Earlier that morning, she had ripped up her favorite book. Layne's face turned red as she started to heat up. The book burst into flames as Layne got madder and madder.

Leslie brushed the doll's hair gently, as she let her eyes wander around the room.

Amanda looked at Layne's burning book."sure."replied Amanda as she took the cup and started to put out the fire with the water snake.

Layne dropped the book as the cold water touched her firey skin. "Thankss youss." she said walking away ashamed.

Amanda went to her small bag and got a apple out and some halloween candy to eat. So she started eating the apple first.

Leslie opened the lunchbox nonchalantly, taking out a can of noodles and a juice box as she looked around.

After finishing it she wiped her mouth with a napkin.
