View Full Version : Rules & General Guidelines

Since there has been a lot of spamming & general problems around PBF, I decided to create this thread to clear up a lot.

Spamming & Double Posting

Both of these are against the rules; if you need definitions, here they are:

Spam:
- Posts that have little or nothing to do with the forum in general, especially those that were simply posted to advertise things that have nothing to do with the forum.
- Posts that have nothing to do with the topic they were posted in, such as "I love Bobo" in a "New Dolls Update" thread.
- Repeatedly posting the same thing when it's not necessary.

Double Posting:
Posting twice (or more) in a row within a short period of time. Under short period of time I understand everything up to 1 day depending on the topic and response/reply.
If you post a reply and realize you forgot something important to say, you are supposed to use the "Edit" button, thats what it's there for. :/

Roleplays

From now on, Peps [the roleplay mod] has indicated that all new roleplays will be checked and the forum will be cleared of any spammed roleplays. This is to reduce roleplays without a valid storyline with few replies.

Signatures

Some members may be on dial up and so a huge signature will slow down their computer. We want to make PBF a place for everyone and so allowing a massive signature is unfair on some. Plus, its not nice to see a signature that takes up the entire length of the page as you have to scroll down a lot. Therefore, if any mods believe a signature is too long, they'll politely PM you and ask you to change it.

Repeated Posts & Posting in the Wrong Area

There is no need for a thread on a certain subject to be made more than once, please use the search feature to check if your thread has been created before. Plus, you should also check that the thread you're creating is in the correct forum. If not, they'll be moved and if they're are a duplicate thread either closed, merged or deleted.

Old Topics

Please do not bring up a topic that is more than a month old - those threads ended long ago, are probably not even relevant anymore and do not need to be revived since they will drown the newer threads. Any posts caught bring up these topics will be deleted to make room for newer threads. Exceptions include Playground & threads like "Who is your favourite Singer/Band?" etc.

So...

Here is a thread I made containing helpful information on avatars, signatures etc:
http://forums.pixelbee.com/showthread.php?t=1121

I will be going through the whole forum deleting any spam, merging any duplicates etc. and this forum will be cleaned up.

If any of these rules are breached several times, after being politely told & warned, you'll receive an infraction.

Thankyou for reading, any questions, feel free to PM me. :)

I think some of us should really read that and UNDERSTAND it. Right, HoneyAngel?

Thank you Fairy! This puts this all really clearly! ^_^ I did 'double post' on my thread but it was nine days after my previous post since I wanted to add new pictures. o3o

I'm sorry but double posting isn't allowed no matter how long it's been and they will be merged or deleted.

Now that's a post worth reading XD

Also a suggestion that either FOB or someone came up with that I want to repeat because it's massively genius...

When newbies first sign up, you know how they get sent to the first page of the forum? Well to stop stupid avatar questions they could be sent to the rules page or something. I don't know if it's possible but it would help.

I have read both your Newbies Guide and this.
You must have spent a lot of time doing this.
Well, actually TYPING this.
Fairy, I have bolded a word 'bring' and I think that doesn't make sense. Shouldn't it be 'bringing' or 'brung', if that IS a REAL WORD.

'Brought', maybe.
And next time, don't quote the whole post. Just edit it the part where you want corrected.
